stavo dipingendo en plain air sulla spiaggia di Villerville, in Normandia, sull’oceano…quando si avvicina una bellissima bambina e in silenzio comincia tutta incuriosita ed interessata, a seguire il mio lavoro sulla tela. Sto dipingendo appunto la spiaggia e l’oceano, e allora piacevolmente sorpreso dalla nuova compagnia, dipingo nel quadro anche due persone: la bambina ed io. Quindi da spettatrice, con la sua bella, intelligente e silenziosa presenza, lei e’ entrata nel quadro…. sia per l’ispirazione che ha generato, quindi in modo invisibile, sia come protagonista dipinta.
I was painting en plain air on the beach of Villerville, in Normandy, on the ocean… when a beautiful little girl approached me and silently began, intrigued and interested, to follow my work on the canvas. I was painting the beach and the ocean, and then pleasantly surprised by the new company, I painted two people in the picture: me and the little girl. So from being a spectator, with her beautiful, intelligent and silent presence, she entered the painting…. both for the inspiration she generated, therefore invisibly, and as the painted protagonist.
