I am pleased and proud to announce that my latest work, which I made on August 23 as part of Fabiana Yvonne Lugli’s SignofSound live performance project, has become part of the permanent collection on display at Windmill Art Gallery Southampton (New York).
That’s where it was born, along with Fabiana’s ( her work will also remain in the Gallery’s collection).
thanks to Fabiana first of all, who wanted me to be involved in this original project and which she conceived; then thanks to percussionist Max Vanderbeek ( who together with me made the live music) and video artist Stephen De Vita.
the painting I made is also the result of their contribution.
..And also, on closer inspection, of the ghost of Pollock
who had his home and painting studio there a few kilometers away.
the title of the work is in honor of Fabiana’s project.
***sono contento ed orgoglioso di annunciare che la mia ultima opera, che ho realizzato il 23 agosto all’interno del progetto live performance SignofSound di Fabiana Yvonne Lugli, e’ entrato a far parte della collezione permanente in esposizione della Windmill Art Gallery Southampton (New York).
E’ li’ che e’ nata l’opera, insieme a quella di Fabiana ( anche la sua opera rimarra’ nella collezione della Galleria).
grazie a Fabiana prima di tutto, che mi ha voluto coinvolgere in questo progetto originale e che lei ha ideato; poi grazie al percussionista Max Vanderbeek ( che insieme a me ha realizzato le musiche dal vivo) e al videoartista Stephen De Vita.
il dipinto che ho realizzato e’ anche frutto del loro contributo.
…e pure, a ben vedere, del fantasma di Pollock che li’ a pochi kilometri di distanza aveva la sua casa ed il suo studio di pittura…
il titolo dell’opera e’ in onore del progetto di Fabiana.
